Thank you all for all the warm wishes and lovely blessing and messages received on Kayleigh's birth.
My little blessing from heaven is here and is already a week old. I am doing fine and love every minute of being a new mom. She is a very precious and a good baby.
Last week Friday morning (15th August) at six o'clock we went to the hospital and were given a lovely private room with a garden. All the checks began and around 06h45 we were wheeled up to theatre, where Dad washed up and put on all his theatre attire. They then wheeled us into theatre and the antitheists then prepared me for the spinal. Jason was amazing as he got me to focus on him and before I knew it, the needle was in my back and the feeling were going. The theatre was filled with “rent a crowd”, everyone has an assistance who has an assistant. The best photographer was the antitheists and Jason handed over the camera. Before I knew it they had cut me open and around 07h15 they pulled out my little baby girl, dad was then asked to cut the cord and went to the one side of the theatre to clean her up,( weight 3.3kg and 51cm) while they sewed me back up, they then presented her back to me. All in tow we were then wheeled back to my room, dad whisked off to do her first bath and minutes later we were united as a family.
The most beautiful sound in the world must be her first cry and the most beautiful sight - is seeing her moments after being pulled out. This is truly a spiritual experience, I cannot believe after witness childbirth people still can believe that there is no God. Only God can create a perfect little human life. So around 08h30 Jason was sending out the sms’s letting the world know of her arrival. Soon afterwards my room was filled with flowers and a lovely gift hamper arrived from our church (Rivers). We are truly blessed to have such amazing family and friends around us.
That afternoon all the family arrived, the weekend whisked by with family and friends. The evenings Kayleigh Jean was put into the nursery and mom given lots of rest until my milk would come in. Monday morning rise and shine early, pack up. Dad then came to fetch us and take us home.
Our life as a family now beginning.
Well we got it wrong on the first night as we did not buy any formula as we thought I had milk. So at around 22h00 after trying to express, a crying baby, who we now realised was starving. Jason set off back to the hospital to get formula. After that things went a lot smoother and the following nights she already seems to have settled on the 9,11,3 and 6 o'clock feeds with much bigger gaps during the day. So it would seem that we are blessed with a very good baby.
So to sum it up our little princess from Heaven is here and the chronicles of her life now begin.
Much love and God Bless
Very dotty Mother
Lisa
